About Bensalem, PA - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

The township of Bensalem, population approximately 60,000, is located about fifteen miles northeast of Philadelphia.  Founded in 1692, Bensalem is comprised of the communities of Andalusia, Cornwells Heights, Eddington, Oakford, and Trevose.  Together, the communities of Bensalem combine to make it the largest metropolitan area in Bucks County.  The area enjoys a moderate seasonal climate, with summertime highs ranging into the low 90s, and wintertime lows occasionally dipping into the mid to high teens.  Snowfall accumulation is typical during the months of February and March.

The Bensalem area is rich in early 19th century history, with several buildings in and around the township dating back to colonial times.  The partially restored King Library, built in the late 1880s by Dr. Charles Ray King, is a tribute to the gothic style architecture typical to structures built during that era.  The library is part of an ongoing restoration project headed up by the King Library Restoration Committee and still houses many items and books from Dr. King’s private collections.  Growden Mansion is another historically significant site.  Built in 1752, it was the home of Benjamin Franklin’s friend and colleague, Joseph Growden, and was purportedly the location where the two friends first tested the kite that led to Franklin’s discovery of electricity!

No matter what your preference or taste, the Bensalem area abounds with tailor-made opportunities for your entertainment and enjoyment.  Neshaminy State Park is a great location for outdoor activities with family or friends.  It is comprised of three hundred and thirty acres of parkland featuring picnic areas, pavilions, a playground, and community swimming pool.  It has four miles of hiking and jogging trails and offers complete boating access to the Delaware River.

For a fun-filled day of non-stop entertainment and excitement, be sure and visit Bensalem’s Philadelphia Park Race Track.  This state-of-the-art racetrack/casino combo features thoroughbred horseracing at its finest and a full range of casino slots and gaming tables.
